Students in our college made performance in the 92th anniversary celebration variety show, demonstrating our college’s elegant appearance through “Chinese style” programmes

Seven thirty on April 6th , the, Xiamen University history and culture variety show “Nan Qiang Song” was put on the stage in Jiannan auditorium. The “Chinese Style “programmes Chenstyle Tai Chi boxing and Diabolo that our students from college performed won universal applause, it demonstrated elegant appearance of overseas students. and it was the expression of their talents and skills and their achievement of learning Chinese culture.    

Our college’s students came on state on the fourth chapter ”Warming Spring in Campus”, bringing wonderful “Chinese Style”. The “Chinese Style” is a traditional Chinese programme integrating Chenstyle Tai Chi boxing and Diabolo. Chinese martial art teacher Xia Changcang of our college is programme director; our college’s students Li Xiang (American), Wei Tongwen (American), Liu Zhiyi (Chinese), Hu Siya (Italian), Gao Qiao Gan Sha (Japanese) and Ye Kou Ying Hui (Japanese) were in the show.

At the beginning of the programme, 7 students in Kungfu wears started Chenstyle Tai Chi boxing along with melodious music of Guzheng. The soft start, influence sequence, couple hardness with softness movement, just likes passing cloud and flowing water, attracting whole audiences eyes. All the audiences present praised that overseas students can give such an incisive and vivid Chinese Kungfu performance.

When melodious Guzheng music turned to modern electronic music, American boy Wei Tongwen began his Diabolo performance, a tug on the line, the small diablo as if come alive, turning and flying. The skillful Diabolo performance with music of great rhythm and the integration of traditional programme and modernized ones won audiences praise.

On the stage, the Tai Chi boxing performance by six students became an background in front of which Wei Tongwen was playing Diabolo on the middle of the stage, one was slow while the other was fast, one was quite while the other was moving, making a beautiful and wonderful picture. And “Chinese Style” performance made great success.

On April 7th, and April 11th “Nan Qiang Song” was successively put on the stage once again at Xiang’an campus and Zhangzhou campus, students of our college made another wonderful “Chinese Style”.
