After-class activities
After-class activities
Before holding activities on campus such as celebrations of foreign countries' anniversaries or significant traditional holidays, overseas students must get permission from the university and must abide by relevant university regulations.
Overseas students receiving full scholarships from the Chinese government may participate once every two years in university-organized short-distance holiday travel, with travel, accommodation and meals all paid by the university. Students in refresher courses for one year may participate once in such travel. However, those who do not study a full year must pay for the cost themselves. Those who do not participate in university-organized travel shall not be compensated with money for the travel. Self-supporting students may also participate in university-organized travel, but must pay their own fees.
Before travelling to cities or counties not open to foreigners, Overseas students must first receive approval from the university, then apply to the Public Security Bureau for a travel permit, and proceed only after receiving approval.
Overseas students may participate in all relevant activities held by the Students Union of the university, and all extracurricular sports and performances. They may also participate in activities held at important Chinese festivals if they like. We encourage overseas students to engage in normal friendly interaction with Chinese teachers, students and citizens.
